Info

Loved and Lost Shared Reading Group is a space to explore poetry and prose together and help make sense of the thoughts and feelings around bereavement and grief.

This month we'll read sections of The Death of a Soldier Told by his Sister by Olesya Khromeychuk. This memoir and essay from Ukrainian-born historian tells the story of her brother who died in the war in Donbas in 2017.

Texts will be selected by the group leaders and shared by reading aloud on the day. There is no pressure to speak if you just wish to listen. Everyone is welcome whether they have experienced grief or not.

Please note, this is not intended to be a therapeutic support group, so may not be suitable for those who have experienced a very recent bereavement.
