Info
We’ve got a very special last Colour of Pomegranates of the year, collaborating with the Kitchen Library: Zafah. You're are invited to join us for a Sudanese wedding ceremony at the library hosted by regular participants Huda and Hanadi.
Inspired by the Arabic word زفة (Zafah), meaning wedding procession, the celebration will include traditional Sudanese dishes, beautiful bridal dresses, henna and live performance, live music and insights about Sudanese culture.
The event will run until 2pm and food will be served half way through made in our Kitchen Library. Wedding or formal attire from your own culture is encouraged but by no means necessary!

Kitchen Library
Bootle Library’s community kitchen houses the spices, ferments, jams, cordials, recipes and equipment used for meals hosted in the library. This year, we are also developing a small lending library of donated kitchen equipment, which will be available to borrow: a sustainable way to use equipment needed for a one-off cooking project or seasonal celebration, or which you might not otherwise have access to.
