One Pot Project
One Pot Project was a series of community meals, organised by Fairland Collective. Prepared using a single induction hob and only one pot, the making of the meal was a collaborative task.
More information
A One Pot event consisted of tasks such as dumpling stuffing, pasta shaping, spoon making, tablecloth printing, recipe collecting, and/or pickling local produce. It always resulted in lunch, alongside 20 strangers, fed from the communal pot.
Alongside the cooking, library users were invited to add to the developing the One Pot Kit – a portable set of crockery, tableware, recipes, ingredients and library-made products which has become part of the library’s permanent collections, and a resource for future meals.
