Kitchen Library Call Out for Equipment
Do you have a piece of kitchen equipment that you never use? If so, you might be able to find a new home for it!
We are seeking donations for a small lending library of kitchen equipment based at Bootle Library. We’re looking for those rarely used items: things you might need once for a cooking project, seasonal items, or specialised equipment that you mightn’t have space for in your own kitchen cupboards. It could be something as small as a novelty biscuit cutter or jelly mould, or something larger like an ice cream machine, breadmaker or nutribullet. Items will be available on loan to the public so need to be in good working order.
If you have anything that you’d like to donate, please email hello@atthelibrary.co.uk with the subject line Kitchen Library, and tell us a few details about your item: you could tell us what brand it is, how old, how big, whether you still have the box and/or the instructions if it’s an electrical item. If you are able to include a photo, that would also be very useful. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept items unless you have contacted us in advance.
We have limited space for storage, and may not be able to accept everything that is offered to us (we may already have that particular piece of equipment, for example), so please wait for a reply to your message before bringing anything into the library.
