Artist Amina Atiq will join us for this month’s Colour of Pomegranates building on her project scouse pilgrimage which explores and celebrates freedom of movement.
Women will be invited to explore a journey, whether personal or physical, which they have had since moving to Liverpool, through poetry.
This will explore the information often lost in stories of migration of arrival, creating a new archive to document a collective history. Women will also leave with a tool kit for further poetry.
Colour of Pomegranates is a welcoming space for women learning English to practise their speaking and listening skills, with fluent speakers, through conversation and creative activities. The aim of the group is to develop friendships, create connections, and help foster support and solidarity between women in our neighbourhoods.
